Serial 1 Rush City — originally made by Harley-Davidson — is a solid e-bike, but I can’t recommend it at this point. Harley has since handed the brand off to another e-bike manufacturer, and my recent experience with parts replacement was frustrating, with slow responses and little sense of urgency. I’d suggest going with a more established and widely supported brand instead. This week, I met a rider with a Trek e-bike that had impressive range. The e-bike market is still evolving, and some smaller or shifting brands may disappear or merge, which can make future maintenance more difficult.
I am thinking about getting an e-bike myself. Maybe I missed this in your excellent trip reports, but what type of e-bike do you have?

Thanks Tom. I appreciate the response. I really enjoy your trip reports and hope to get out there soon myself.
