Welcome to Tom on the Trails

Exploring the world around the corner or many miles away begins with the first stroke of the pedal.

I am Tom. I discovered cycling in 2009 at age 55. I was changing my unhealthy life into a healthy life. I needed a 180-degree reboot after surviving triple coronary bypass surgery. My bike became the vehicle for a better life.

Tom on the Trails is where I share my passion for and advocate for trails, cycling, and discovering the world on my bike. I advocate for people, seen as non-traditional cyclists, to get on their bikes. That is where I came from. Exploring the world around the corner or many miles away begins with the first stroke of the pedal. I invite you to join me on this ride.
